Effective September 10, 2026. Applies to every “Clean” iOS app by Steve Petersen: CleanSort, CleanVote, CleanAllowance, CleanMatch, CleanKnots, CleanCards, and any that follow.
The Clean apps collect no data. None, from anyone, ever.
More specifically, for every app in the family:
CleanCards is the exception on networking, in one specific way: it lets the phones at your table play a card game together. When someone hosts a game, the other phones in the same room connect directly to that phone over Wi‑Fi (that’s why iOS asks for Local Network permission). What travels between them is the game itself — your chosen nickname, your bids and cards — encrypted with the join code shown on the host’s screen, and it goes nowhere else. There is no server and no internet connection. Nobody’s real name or device name is ever broadcast.
CleanAllowance, CleanSort, CleanVote, CleanMatch, and CleanKnots store only what you enter or play — allowances, scores, votes, puzzles — on your device, and nothing else.
If this policy ever changes (I have no plans), the change will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
